All new roller coasters coming in 2025!

As the summer sun sets and brings another exciting season to theme park lovers, excitement for next year is just beginning. Recently, theme parks from across North America have made a slew of new roller coaster announcements that promise record-breaking thrills and fun by 2025.

From record-breaking heights and thrilling inversions to immersive storytelling and cutting-edge technology, these new rides will take thrill-seeking to the next level. Buckle up and get ready to explore the future of the roller coaster world!

Six Flags Entertainment:

Rakshasa's Wrath

Six Flags Great America's “Rakshasa's Fury” will be the world's steepest dive coaster. The Bolliger and Mabillard dive coaster will have a 96-degree incline and a 171-foot drop. It's the park's first coaster in six years. In addition, riders will experience five inversions, the most of any dive coaster. When it opens next year, “Rakshasa's Fury” will be a major addition to Six Flags Great America's lineup.

Fury of the Mountains

Alpine Fury is a dual-launch coaster from Premier Rides that will open next year at Canada's Wonderland. The coaster will break several records upon opening, including being Canada's tallest, fastest and longest launch coaster. This first-of-its-kind coaster will include a vertical launch and up to nine inversions, the most of any launch coaster. With over 3,000 feet of track, speeds of 71 miles per hour and a one-foot drop, Alpine Fury will thrill you.

Quantum Accelerator

Intamin's multi-launch family coaster, Quantum Accelerator, will open at Six Flags New England in 2025. It will be Six Flags New England's first coaster since The Joker opened in 2017. The coaster will feature a motorcycle-like straddle-type vehicle that will launch riders at speeds of 0-30 miles per hour on the first launch. On the second launch, the train will reach speeds of 45 miles per hour. Riders will enjoy 11 aerial moments during the two-minute ride. Quantum Accelerator will be a welcome addition to Six Flags New England.

Snoopy's Racing Railway

After the successful Camp Snoopy at Kings Island expansion This year, Carowinds has decided to follow suit. The new and improved Camp Snoopy at Carowinds will include two new attractions, one of which is a family coaster called Snoopy's Railway. This family coaster looks very similar to the Snoopy's Railway at Canada's Wonderland. It has a speed of 31 miles per hour and is a great addition for kids.

Raptor

Rapterra opens at Kings Dominion and will hold the record for the tallest and longest winged coaster. This Bolliger and Mabillard winged coaster will include over 300 feet of track and a 145-foot drop. Riders will be launched at speeds of 0-65 miles per hour. The addition of Rapterra will be a great way for Kings Dominion to celebrate its 50th anniversaryday Anniversary season.

Epic Universe, opening in 2025:

Curse of the Werewolf

The first of four roller coasters to open at Epic Universe in 2025 is Curse of the Werewolf. This Mack Rides spinning coaster will be located in the park’s Dark Universe realm. It will last more than two minutes and reach speeds of 37 miles per hour while letting riders escape from the clutches of a pack of wolves.

Hiccup's Wing Glider

Hiccup's Wing Gliders is a family coaster from Intamin located on the Island of Berk. With a height requirement of only 40 inches, this How to Train Your Dragon coaster is great fun for kids and adults alike.

Mine Cart Madness

This revolutionary coaster will do something no coaster has ever done before: jump off the track. While riders won't actually fly through the air, Mine-cart Madness will create the illusion of a minecart jumping off the track, just like you see in the video game Donkey Kong. This family coaster at Super Nintendo World only requires a height of 36 inches, so most guests can experience this one-of-a-kind coaster.

Stardust Racing

The final coaster to be introduced at Epic Universe is Stardust Racers. This coaster is located in the Celestial Park area of ​​Epic Universe and is a two-passenger coaster. The already introduced Mack rides coaster will include nearly a mile of track and reach speeds of up to 62 miles per hour. This coaster will feature the first ever inverted cross or Celestial Spin. In addition, the coaster will be fully illuminated at night, giving the illusion of a comet streaking across the night sky.

Yeti Journey

Yeti Trek is a Vekoma family coaster at Santa Claus Village in Ontario. This standard family coaster will take passengers through the trees for a fun, non-scary ride. This will be the third coaster at Santa Claus Village.

Fire Runner

Fire Runner is a raptor-track roller coaster being developed by Rocky Mountain Construction at Lost Island in Waterloo, Iowa. It will include three inversions and reach speeds of up to 52 miles per hour.
