The shortest route to Hunter Mountain via Baker Hollow is the highest fire lookout tower in New York State. It is also one of the steepest in the Catskills.
This is also one of the most popular routes to the summit of Hunter Peak. There aren’t any major technical challenges. But it’s still a beast.
