UK travel agents can now book the airline's NDC content
Malaysia Airlines and Amadeus have expanded their partnership to deploy Malaysia Airlines’ NDC-based content to Amadeus-connected travel agencies in the UK.
This will enable travel agents to provide exclusive offers to Malaysia Airlines customers on the NDC platform and Malaysia Airlines’ website.
Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer, Malaysia Airlines Group, said: “Malaysia Airlines’ adoption of NDC is a major step towards modernising airline retailing. Our partnership with Amadeus has been instrumental in achieving our transformation goals.
“With NDC, we look forward to enhancing the shopping experience and allowing customers to personalise their travel, supporting our vision to become Asia’s leading travel and aviation services group.”
Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Travel at Amadeus, said: “This partnership with Malaysia Airlines is another important milestone in our strategy to deeply integrate content end-to-end into travel sellers’ technology ecosystems through NDC and support the industry’s ongoing retail journey.
“With this NDC deployment, we are building on our multi-year momentum in supporting modern retail and reaffirming our commitment to continue delivering more travel content at scale around the world through the Amadeus Travel Platform.”
This follows the airline’s renewal of its contract for the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS) in 2022.
In addition, many other technical solutions are also adopted.
