What is MagicBand+?
If you're not familiar, the MagicBand or MagicBand+ is a piece of wearable technology that can help you a lot at Disney World. It can act as your park ticket, hotel room key, or even a way to make purchases.

MagicBand+ takes things to the next level. This upgraded version reacts to its surroundings with flashing lights and tactile vibrations, synchronized with the park's fireworks, shows and attractions.
Your MagicBand+ will also unlock effects around the park!
We've already seen MagicBand+ interact with rides like Haunted Mansion, TRON Lightcycle/Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Avatar Flight of Passage, as well as shows like Festival of the Lion King and Fantasmic! Now, Disney is expanding these features even further in 2025, introducing new interactive elements across all three entertainment experiences.
1. Disney Villains: It’s Not Fair Ever After
Fans of Disney’s darker side – this one’s for you! MagicBand+ is now available on Disney Villains: It’s Not Fair Ever Afteran all-new stage show celebrating some of Disney’s most notorious villains. When you attend this show, you'll notice that your MagicBand+ pulses and lights up in sync with the action on stage.

From flashes of color and subtle vibrations in intense moments, your band becomes part of the performance. It's a small detail, but it helps you understand the story more deeply. So as you watch Maleficent and Hades take the spotlight, your MagicBand+ will make you feel like you're part of their evil world.
2. The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
MagicBand+ also dives under the sea The Little Mermaid – a musical adventureone of Disney World’s newest stage productions. As you experience Ariel's story unfold, your MagicBand+ will respond with color and vibration in sync with the show's key musical moments.
