When my husband and I decided to spend a month in Mallorca, finding the best coffee in Palma was non-negotiable. Our plan was to spend the workday cozying up in a cozy cafe, and thankfully Palma delivered.
I wanted to round up my personal favorite cafes in Palma for those of you planning a trip to the island.

sally hills
Of all the great cafes in Mallorca, the one that impressed me the most was Surry Hills in Palma’s old town. Opening in 2021, Surry Hills is a new Australian cafe in Palma looking to impress.
The simple interior is well designed and feels warm, and the welcoming staff are some of the friendliest we've encountered in our month on the island. Focusing on fresh seasonal produce and quality coffee, they also serve one of the best brunches in Palma.
We ordered eggs Benedict and salmon toast, as well as cappuccino and Americano. On the first bite, my husband and I turned to each other and said “Wow” in unison. The food exceeded expectations and the coffee was delivered. Give them the love and attention they deserve and this is definitely one of the best cafes in Palma!

morianda
Founded in 2014, La Molienda is credited with introducing specialty coffee to Parma. This charming Palma café is in a quiet part of the old town, but people are happy to travel a long way to sample their excellent coffee and delicious breakfast menu.
They specialize in Spanish coffee roasters and change their coffees frequently. The quality speaks for itself and since opening in 2014, the cafe has spread across three busy locations. We ordered the classic tomato toast and scrambled egg sandwiches, both dishes were great and worth coming back for.
I prefer the Bise location, but finding a table can be difficult, so get there early if you want to sit inside.

Alabai
Café Arabica is my most frequented café in Palma as it is just a few steps away from where we live. The professional staff made us a pleasure to start the day and their organic and fair trade coffee was always on point.
We were surprised to find out that Arabay has been roasting coffee on the island since 1952, but only opened a café in Palma in 2016. They also offer light meals such as sandwiches and baked goods.
In my experience, this is the best cafe in Palma for digital nomads. The sun-drenched upstairs area is filled with tables and chairs, perfect for those who want to get work done. We noticed the same people glued to their laptops every day we went.

mistral coffee roasters
Opened in 2017, Mistral is known for serving some of the best coffee in Palma, and you only need one sip to understand why locals and tourists alike love this place so much.
Their high quality specialty coffee is ethically sourced and freshly roasted in Mallorca. The passion behind this detail-oriented Parma café shines through in every cup. They have two cafes in Parma, and I love the sunny one, a two-minute walk from Passeig de Born.

mother carmen
Mama Carmen Cafe is probably the cutest cafe in Palma, and thankfully, they also serve the best coffee in Palma. Mama Carmens is located in Santa Catalina and specializes in vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Anticipating long lines at the store, they opened a second location a block away from the flagship store, and both locations were packed with tourists in the morning.

roosevelt bakery
We discovered Rosevelvet Bakery while wandering aimlessly through the charming streets of Palma. Intrigued by the happy faces walking in and out, we decided to drop by for a visit. We were attracted by the beautiful courtyard at the back and eagerly awaited our coffee and afternoon tea (cheesecake).
After a sip, we realized we'd just stumbled upon some of the best cafes in Palma, and a few minutes later a delicious cheesecake landed in front of us, confirming that theory. Rosevelvet may be part cafe and part bakery, but they excel at both.

Riuto's Cafe
Specialty coffee in Parma is not hard to find, but not all cafes are created equal. That's where Café Riutort comes in, they serve great coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.
This unassuming Palma café is always inviting, encouraging people to linger rather than rush out with a takeaway coffee. If you need a quiet place to plan your day in Palma, Café Riutort is your best choice.
address: C. del Carme, 25, 07003 Palma

el perito
Granted, El Perrito is better known as a brunch spot, but the best coffee in Parma usually comes from local! We loved the coffee and food at El Perrito so much that we went back three times during our stay in Mallorca.

Rafa
Mallorca is a world-famous cycling destination, so there are some cafés in Palma dedicated to two passions: cycling and coffee.
Rapha Coffee is a perfect example. This place is part shop, part cafe and is almost always packed with cyclists. But you don't need to be a cyclist to enjoy the delicious coffee brewed in his quaint cafe.

Joan de Ego
Like most people who visit Mallorca, I went to Ca'n Joan de s'Aigo for ensaimada and ice cream. Coffee was an afterthought, but I needed an afternoon pick-me-up. Little did I know that Ca'n Joan de s'Aigo serves the best coffee in Parma.
It's very sturdy and smooth and really just right. After my visit I can confirm that this is not only one of the best cafes in Palma, but also one of the best bakeries in Mallorca.
